Terms of Service

What Plot Armor is

Plot Armor is a service of Plot Armor LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Plot Armor," "we," "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Plot Armor LLC. Plot Armor is a paid research service. For a one-time fee, we research hotels and travel logistics for the trip you describe and deliver a personalized, interactive report to a private link. Each payment covers exactly one report run.

One run per payment

Each report is generated once, based on the answers you submit. Double-check your answers before paying; the run cannot be repeated or edited after it starts. If you made a mistake in your answers, contact us and we will do our best to help.

What the report is (and is not)

Your report reflects publicly available information (reviews, forums, news, prices) at the time it was generated. Prices, availability, renovations, and policies change constantly and are controlled by hotels and booking platforms, not by us. The report is research and guidance, not a booking, a guarantee of price or availability, or professional travel, legal, or financial advice. Booking decisions and bookings themselves are yours to make directly with hotels or booking platforms.

Independence

We accept no advertising, commissions, or sponsorships from hotels or booking platforms. No one can pay to appear in, or be removed from, a report.

Acceptable use

Reports are for your personal use and your travel group. Please don't resell reports or use the service to scrape or republish data at scale.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the report. We are not liable for decisions made based on the report or for changes at properties after the report was generated.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Privacy Policy

In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Plot Armor LLC, the company that operates Plot Armor.

What we collect

Only what you give us: your trip answers from the intake form (destination, dates, budget, priorities, and similar), and the email address you use at Stripe checkout, which we use to send your report link.

How we use it

Your trip answers are used for one purpose: generating your report. Your email is used to send your report link and to respond if you contact us. That's it. No newsletters, no follow-ups, no marketing, ever.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with hotels, advertisers, or data brokers. We do not send marketing emails.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe shares with us only what's needed to confirm your payment (such as a confirmation and the email you used at checkout).

Your report link

Your finished report lives at a private link. Anyone you share that link with can view the report, so share it only with your travel group.

Deletion

Want your intake answers, email, or report deleted? Email us and we'll remove them.

Refund Policy

Why refunds are limited

Every report runs deep research with a real cost behind it, and the full value of the report is delivered the moment you receive it. For that reason we can't offer refunds because you changed your mind or no longer need the trip researched.

When we make it right

If the service fails on our end, you are covered:

Report never delivered. If a run fails and no report reaches you, you get a full refund.

Material error in the report. If you find a factual error that matters (for example, we scored a hotel that was closed for your dates), email us. We'll personally investigate and correct it, and if we can't make it right, we'll refund some or all of your payment based on what went wrong.

How to request one

Email us with your report link and what went wrong, within 14 days of receiving your report. We read every message and a human responds.

Refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days.

Plot Armor is run by a real person, and email is the fastest way to reach me. Reporting a glitch or an error? Include your report link and as much detail as you can. The more specific you are, the faster I can make it right.
