Chapter 00Why Plot Armor
The vacation didn't match what we were sold. So we wrote an honest review: photos, details, the things we wished someone had told us.
It was deleted within a day.We appealed and never heard back.
And if our warning got deleted, how many warnings never reached us?
Hotels pay commissions.
Paid placement rides the top of the list no matter how you sort.
And even the reviews that remain get flattened into a 4.5-star average: a number that blends the family of six, the honeymooners who wanted to be left alone, and the friend's hiking trip into something that means almost nothing for your trip.
So we built the report no one can pay to change.
Your priorities create the plot you want for your trip
We find a shortlist of the best possible hotels for your trip, then dig deep and present the facts in an interactive report
We pick the winner, show you why, and give you a scorecard that makes deciding easier
You can. But getting to the same kind of answer takes far more than one question. It requires hours of prompts and follow-up: researching every finalist across multiple sources, verifying recurring claims, normalizing prices for your dates, scoring each hotel against your priorities, and uncovering hard-to-find details that can change the recommendation. Even small wording changes can alter what gets researched and how the answers are framed.
We do all that digging for you, and instead of a giant research document leaving you sorting through AI text, you get a visual scorecard that makes the tradeoffs clear, the select details most likely to change your decision, and a clear picture of what hotel we would book and why. There are questions our research attempts to answer that users often didn't even know to ask.
The Plot Score is not a review average. Each hotel is scored across ten quality factors using recurring guest evidence and verifiable facts, then reweighted to your priorities. Thin or suspicious review patterns count less, and a few Plot Armor checks of our own quietly bend the number to catch hotels that look better online than they are in person. Select any score in the sample report to see the evidence behind it.
Research starts as soon as payment is complete. Your report usually takes about an hour, and the report link appears on the confirmation page and arrives by email. If it fails on our end and never reaches you, you receive a full refund. If you spot an error, email support@plotarmor.report and we will investigate and correct it.
